1. Introduction

Welcome to Ryan Boon Speciality Meats (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of products through our online store.

By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECTA”) of South Africa.

2. Products

We specialise in fresh, frozen and cured meat products.

Due to the nature of artisanal butchery:

• Product weights may vary by up to 5% less or 10% more than indicated. Where a product weighs more, you will not be charged extra.
• Availability is subject to seasonality and stock.
• Images are for illustrative purposes only.

All products are prepared in accordance with applicable food safety regulations.

3. Pricing

All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to amend pricing at any time. Pricing errors may be corrected, and we reserve the right to cancel orders affected by obvious pricing mistakes.

4. Orders & Payment

Orders are confirmed once payment has been successfully received.

We reserve the right to:

• Refuse or cancel orders in cases of suspected fraud
• Cancel orders due to stock unavailability (a full refund will be issued)

5. Delivery

Delivery is available within Franschhoek, Paarl and Wellington unless otherwise stated.

• Delivery timeframes are estimates only.
• Customers must ensure that someone is available to receive perishable goods.
• Risk passes to the customer upon delivery.

We are not responsible for spoilage resulting from failed delivery attempts, incorrect address details, or improper storage after delivery.

6. Returns & Refunds

Due to the perishable nature of our products, returns are limited.

If you receive a product that is:

• Incorrect
• Damaged
• Not fit for purpose

You must notify us within 24 hours of delivery and provide photographic evidence.

Refunds or replacements will be handled in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act.

In terms of Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, the 7-day cooling-off period does not apply to perishable goods.

7. Food Handling Responsibility

Customers are responsible for ensuring proper refrigeration, storage and preparation of products after delivery.

We shall not be liable for spoilage or harm resulting from improper storage or handling after delivery.

8. Limitation of Liability

We shall not be liable for:

• Improper storage after delivery
• Incorrect preparation
• Allergic reactions where ingredient information has been provided

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where prohibited by law.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The courts of the Republic of South Africa shall have jurisdiction in respect of any disputes arising from these Terms.
